Men's Twilite League
 The
Men's Twilite League was founded by a small group of volunteers
some 40 years ago and is today still administered by a committee
of three volunteers separate from other club activities
.
It is a 9-hole competition for male playing members of Twenty
Valley G. & C. C. It is played each Thursday and only
scores from the front nine are recorded .
Ten teams of 21 players play against each other and team
members are drawn in the following manner :
Those who played at least half of the games in the previous
are automatically entered . A waiting list is then posted
in the Pro Shop the first day the course officially opens
for play in Spring . Those players who were on the sick
list the previous year are first on the list , followed
by those who were on the previous year's waiting list but
did not make it to a team , followed by those who sign up
this year . Rules governing play are posted at this time
also .
Games may be played anytime Thursday and in any company
with gross scores recorded on the league scoreboard by 8:15
PM . Handicaps are calculated weekly by the committee .
Anyone 65 years or older may elect to play the red tees
. All others must play the white tees.
A fee of $35 is collected on or before the third play night
to pay for weekly draws and end of year team prizes . Draw
will generally take place between 8:30 & 9:00 pm .
The Men's Twilite League at Twenty Valley is the most popular
ongoing event in the Club . We are not aware of any other
golf club in Ontario which has such a popular and well attended
men's weekly event.
